PPA215... Happy Birthday to You!

Hey Everyone,

Today, I have a quick card using this week's color challenge over at Pal Paper Arts.  This week's colors are Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black - such a gorgeous combo, don't you agree?
08-14

I began with a Whisper White card base, and the layers are Basic Black card stock and patterned paper from MS Carnival Photo Mat Pad.  Using a rectangular spellbinder, the middle of the patterned paper was cut out.  The flower and sentiment were then adhered to the white case base.  I picked the beautiful two-step SU! Stippled Blossoms as my focal image.  I stamped the solid flower in Strawberry Slush ink and used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement to overstamp the outline flower in the same ink color.  I did the same for the leaves, but in Pear Pizzazz ink.  The sentiment is from IBS Small Fancy Labels 18, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  A collection of pearls and sequins added the perfect amount of glam.

DD#100....Sweet Birthday

Happy Sunday!

I wanted to quickly post this card I created last night.  I am playing along with Dynamic Duos last colour combo! I am so sad to see this wonderful challenge close.  I have certainly become a better card maker when I pushed myself to enter these card challenges.  Ironically, I was waiting for the next Design Team call because I wanted to submit a card for consideration, and when I saw the post about "announcement" - I thought that was it!  :(

For my card, I began with Whisper White card base, and used a mixture of DSP's from SU! Just Add Cake and Comfort Café.  I do not Smokey Slate card stock, but I substituted with something similar from my stash.  I die-cut the ovals with the Creative Memories Ovals Set.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Small Fancy Labels 18, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  A collection of small flowers and a pretty bow added the perfect amount of glam to the card.

I am also adding this card to the following challenges:

CMCC#7.. Birthday Wishes

Hi Everyone,

Today's card was created for this week's Colour Me...!  We were asked to use Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party.

My inspiration comes from a past Mojo Monday Sketch:

My card:

I opted for round since it's out of my comfort zone.  I began this card with SU! Bigz Scallop Die.  My card base is Rich Razzleberry, followed by patterned paper from Pocketful of Posies DSP.  I divided the top and bottom of the card with some Kraft card stock.  The ovals were die-cut from Whisper White and Pool Party using the Nesties Classic Ovals.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Small Fancy Labels 18, inked in Basic Black.  I finished the card with a butterfly, two small flowers and a trio of pearls.

I'm also adding this card to the following challenges:

CMCC#6 ... Thank You Card

Hi Everyone,

Today's card was created for this week's Colour Me..! Challenge - Monochromatic Wisteria Wonder.

My card:

My card begins with a Whisper White case base.  For a bit of subtle interest, I stamped at the bottom of the card some texture using SU! Summer Silhouettes in Wisteria Wonder ink.  The vase was die-cut with the PTI  Mega Gracious Vases Dies.  I then inserted what looks like wooden tree branches using Memory Box Woodland Branch.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Small Fancy Labels 18, and was stamped in Crumb Cake ink.  I was inspired by an arrangement of pots and flowers at Home Goods.

FMS 120

Happy Thursday,

I'm popping in quickly to share a simple card I put together using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

 My card:

I began with Whisper White card base, followed with a layer of Baja Breeze card stock.  The pretty patterned papers are from GED Studios paper pad.  The banner is also matted with Baja Breeze.  I stamped the sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Fancy Label 3 in Chocolate Brown ink, and the frame in So Saffron ink.  I then die-cut it with the Spellbinders Label 3 die.  Two small shabby flowers, also from Inspired by Stamping, were placed below the sentiment.

The Kraft Journal #136: Clean and Simple

Happy Monday!

It was great to have a day off from work and do some scrapbooking.  I am sharing a card for this week's The Kraft Journal.  It's all about clean and simple.

My card:

For my card, I chose to use Inspired by Stamping Small Fancy Labels 18 Stamp Set.  I began with Kraft cardstock.  The layers are 2 Whisper White cardstock papers.  The first layer, on the bottom right hand corner, I simply stamped the image in SU! Marina Mist ink.  On the second layer, I embossed 3/8 inch of the cardstock using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  Then, using the Spellbinder Label Eighteen, I superimposed the image around the die cut to give it dimension.  To add some color, I placed a small flower using the Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set.  To finish off my card, a small bow was adhered on the right hand side.

I'm also linking it up at Word Art Wednesday and Inspired by Stamping Customer Gallery.

IBSIC #25 ~ Inspiration Challenge

Hello my friends,

Happy Tuesday!  I have a card to share today for this week's IBSIC #25.  We were asked to use the colors Blue, Yellow, Green and Cream.

IBSIC #25

My card:

The base of the card is very vanilla, with a layer of pretty paper from Basic Grey's Marjolaine paper pad.  Using MS doily, I distressed the edges with Antique Linen.  I really like the way it came out. The teacup is stamped with Marina Mist ink.  I then gently stamped the flowers with daffodil delight, and gently cut them out and adhered them to the teacup.  The sentiment is from the Inspired by Stamping store called Small Fancy Labels 3.  I decided to distress the edges of the tag also.  Lastly, I added a small green bow, lace and some bling.

IBSIC #24 ~ Sketch Challenge

Hello my friends,

After seeing Joanna's beautiful card using the scallop circle die, it is now on my wish list!  But in the meantime, I pretended I was using the die for this week's IBSIC #24 sketch challenge.  :)

IBSIC-#24

My card:

I followed the sketch, but used a square card.  The paper is from My Mind's Eye's Howdy Doody  paper pad - lots of soft colors!  The spellbinder die are from the Lacey and Classic Circle.  I dressed the card up with pretty ruffled ribbon, rhinestones and small yellow flowers from the IBS store.  I cut 2 squares and added the sentiment from the Small Fancy Labels 3 stamp set, also from the IBS store.  I hope you like it.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

BSIC #22 ~ Sketch

Hello my friends,

My card today is for this week's Inspired by Stamping challenge #22.

IBSIC-#22

My card:

SU Very Vanilla was used as my card base, and leftover paper from my stash for the rest of the layers.  I really like Burgundy and Green colors together, so that was the direction I took!  :)  I used Inspired by Stamping Small Fancy Labels 18.  I heat embossed the outside image with Stampendous PEARLustre Rubellite Embossing Powder and SU Wild Wasabi stamp pad for the sentiment.  For the layers behind the sentiment,  I used Ovals and the Twisted Metal Tags and Accents Spellbinders.  I just noticed that the green paper to the left is a bit off! Oh well...I finished my card with some pretty lace and a double bow (thank you Joanna for your Whoo Hoo Wednesday Tutorial!), and of course, some bling.
