Just Add Ink Meets The Paper Players Challenge

Happy Sunday!

I'm popping in quickly to share a simple card I created last night using the color challenge over at Just Add Ink, together with the Tic-Tac-Toe from The Paper Players challenge.  I followed the top line:  Birthday, any punch or die, Ribbon or Twine

My card:

The card base is Whisper White, and the next layer is Smokey Slate card stock.  I stamped the hardwood image in Smokey Slate ink on a white panel.  The banner was die-cut with MFT Die-namics Mini Pennant.  I adhered two small flowers on each corner using SU! Stippled Blossoms stamp set.  Two thumb tacks holds the birthday sign in place.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs, and was stamped in Pacific Point ink.  For some added details, I adhered Calypso Coral Baker's Twine and silver gems to the banner.

I'm also adding this card to Seize the Birthday - Topping Option: Any bling

Exploring Cricut...Dress Form

Hi Everyone,

Today, I have a simple card to share with you for this week's Explore Cricut Challenge.

The card base is Whisper White and the layers are magenta, white and some pretty patterned paper from my stash.  The dress form was cut at 4 inches from the French Manor Cricut Cartridge - this is my favorite cartridge at the moment!  I then wrapped the card with some magenta ribbon.  I finished off  the card with three pearls.  A quick and easy card!

CMCC#12... Pretty Flowers

Happy Thursday!

Today, I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge over at Colour Me.

My card:

To make my card, I began with a Whisper White card base, and added layers of pretty patterned paper from my stash.  I used the Blossom Party Original die to create the flowers.  These were the only ones that would fit perfectly diagonally.  The sentiment is from SU! Petite Pairs, stamped in Early Espresso ink and die-cut with the circle nesties.  The image panel is matted on Pear Pizzazz card stock (it looks darker in the picture).  For some added details, I adhered 2 tiny pearls to the butterfly.

I began with a Midnight Muse card base, followed by Whisper White card stock.  The patterned paper is from SU! The Kraft Journal... Birthday Girl

Hi Everyone!  Happy Monday!

I want to share very quickly a card for this week's The Kraft Journal Challenge.  We were asked to use the color green.

My card:

I started out with Kraft card base, followed with patterned paper from SU! Print Poetry.  I dusted off my Copic markers and colored a digi stamp from La-La Land Stamps.  These images are so much fun to color!  I then adhered the image onto a tag that was lying around my craft table.  The circle was die-cut with the circle nesties, and embellished with four small flowers and a pearl.  The sentiment is from SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes, and was stamped in Early Espresso ink.  I did, however, separate the words by cutting them in the middle, so they can fit nicely next to the tag.  I added a bottom border using the MFT Die-namics Simply Scallops Die and further embellished it with more pearls. To finish off the card, I looped green Baker's Twine through the hole of the tag.

Colour Me...Manly Card

Happy Thursday,

The weekend is almost here!  I have a card to share for this week's Colour Me Challenge.  We were asked to use Old Olive.

My card:

I decided to create an easy and quick manly card.  I started out with Crumb Cake card base.  I then used SU! Sweet Pea DSP for the shirt.  I adhered a piece of Old Olive card stock in the middle, with more patterned paper, to dress up the outside.  I created a bow using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch.  For the final touch, 3 buttons from my stash completes the look of the shirt.

I think this card will be my template for the special men in my life.  Father's Day is just around the corner, too!

The Kraft Journal.... Happy Bird-Day

Happy Tuesday,

This week, I am playing along with The Kraft Journal Challenge.  We were asked to incorporate a bird on our projects.

My card:

To make my card, I started off with a Kraft card base, followed with Pretty in Pink card stock.  The pretty patterned paper is from Melissa Francis.  Since I don't own any bird/bird cage stamps, I decided to use the Serenade Cricut Cartridge to cut out the bird cage (at 3 inches).  The little yellow bird was die-cut with the Poppy Stamps Nestled Bird.  I further embellished the card by adhering a banner on the top left hand corner.  I then added tiny pearls to it.  The sentiment is from The Craft's Meow Tweet, and was stamped in Chocolate Brown ink.  The final details are two pink buttons on the bottom corners.

I'm also adding this card to the following challenges:

Exploring Cricut

Good morning!

Before I head off to a busy Saturday, I want to share a bag I created for this week's Exploring Cricut Challenge.  We were asked to create a tag, a bag, or box from any cricut cartridge and include at least one ribbon.

My bag:

I decided to pull Baby Steps Cricut Cartridge to embellish the small white bag that I need for a baby shower gift.  I used all scraps to cut out this darling baby girl.  She was cut out at 5.5 inches, and the rattle was cut out at 1.5 inches.  I used a 3/4 punch for the circles, and adhered two bows on each of the handles.
