IBSIC #19 ~ Inspiration Photo

Hello my friends,

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  I did some school shopping with my girls, and had some time this evening to make a card for this week's Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #19.  Joanna asked us to use Blue, Yellow and Peach - really pretty colors!

This is my card:

I created 2 rolled ribbon flowers using peach ribbon, and added 2 little blue flowers.  Instead of placing the lace straight, I decided to do something different and make a loop.  I then added blue banners and some bling! :)  All paper used are from my stash.  The sentiment is from the Inspired by Stamping store.  This set is called Big Wishes.  It came in the mail yesterday, so I was super excited to use it.  I just love this stamp set!

Freshly Made Sketches #45

Hello my friends,

I'm super excited the weekend is almost here!  I created a card last night for this week's Freshly Made Sketches:

My card:

It's pretty clean and simple.  I started out with SU Very Vanilla for the card base and My Mind's Eye Lost & Found for the layers.  The mint paper is from my stash.  The umbrella is from Memory Box.  I just purchased it, and I love this die!  It has infinite possibilities.  I used the SU Boho Blossoms punch for the little flowers and gently added a dot in the middle using my pearl pen (creme color). Lastly, I added some SU Rich Razzleberry bow and some pearls.  I hope you like it.

IBS #18 ~ Sketch Challenge

Hello my friends,

Yesterday, I created this card for this week's Inspired by Stamping Challenge #18

IBSIC-#18

This is my card:

I once again used pretty paper from SU Sweet Pea Paper Pack ... I really love this pack.  The sentiment is from SU! Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.  I carefully cut out the yellow flowers and added a brad in the middle - I used SU Vintage Vogue.  Ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

This card is for a dear friend of mine, who is scheduled to have surgery very soon.  I hope she likes it.

Thanks so much for looking!

Freshly Made Sketches #44

Hello my friends,

Happy Sunday!  Not feeling great today, but I wanted to make a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #44.

My card:

I used paper from SU Sweet Pea Paper Stack, and stamped the digi on Neenah Paper and colored with copic markers (sorry, I put them away before writing down the ones I used).  Sentiment and punches are from SU.  I then gently cut out her flower and popped it up with foam tape.  Not sure if you can see it, but I carefully added some silver stickles to her necklace and the middle of her flower.
Thanks for looking!

IBSIC #17 ~ Inspiration Photo

Hello my friends,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  My card today is for the Inspired by Stamping Challenge #17.  We were asked to use Light Pink, Light Yellow and Light Blue ... love those pastel colors!  I fell in love with this beautiful picture, and I knew exactly what I wanted to create.

this is my card:

I started out with Very Vanilla as my base and used Melissa Francis 5th Avenue paper pad for my layers.  I used the Storybook Cricut Cartridge for the flower on the top left-hand corner.  The pretty dress is from the Decorative Dress Forms Spellbinder, and I added some lace, pink ribbon and tiny pearls.  I had so much fun using white tulle for my last card (the wedding one), that I wanted to use it again!  :)  so out came my glue gun and added the pink tulle on the side of my card, finishing it off with some pink flowers on the each corner.  And the final touch, a light blue bow.

A Wedding Card - IBSIC #16 & The Play Date Cafe Challenge #139

Hello my friends,

This week, I created a card combining 2 challenges, Inspired by Stampin #16:

IBSIC-#16

As soon as I saw both challenges, I knew I wanted to create a wedding card:

I started out with Very Vanilla as my card base and used DCWV Pearlized & Metallic paper pad, for the silver and gold layers.  I used my oval and lacy ovals Spellbinders for the bride & groom.  To add a special touch to the bride, using my glue gun, I added white tulle and little pearls to her veil and more pearls for the bouquet.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it with Gold SU embossing powder, and used my stamp-ma-jig to center it.  I added nude color flowers, a gold trim and a pretty bow.  Lastly, I added 3 gold pearls and little pearls where the silver scallop begins.

Freshly Made Sketches #42

Hello my friends,

Happy Thursday!  even though it feels like a Monday for me :)  I decided to play along over at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  They have a sketch perfect for my golfer.

Here is my card:

I started out with Very Vanilla as my card base and used Echo Park's This & That paper pad for my layers.  I picked this paper combo because it gives it an old-school look that goes with the golfer (note the smudge effect where the brown lines intersect).   I don't know if you can see it, but I used my paper crimper for my yellow strip of paper, just to give it some texture.  My sentiment is from SU Happy Greetings (retired).

IBSIC # 15 ~ Red, White & Blue

Hello My Friends,

I can't believe the 4th of July is next week.  A time to honor all the men and women who risk their lives for our freedom.  It's also a birthday for a very good friend of mine.  How lucky to have a day off from work on your birthday!  I think that's so cool.  So this week, over at Inspired by stampin, Joanna asked us to make a card/project using the colors red, white and blue.  I decided to incorporate those colors into a birthday card, but also to show the spirit of the holiday.

This is my card:

I started out with a white cardstock for my base and added some pretty July 4th paper by Pebbles, Inc.  My stars are from SU Stars #2 die (retired).  I used Oval Spellbinders on my digi stamp.  I don't remember where I got this digi.  If anybody recognizes it, please let me know so I can give them credit.  I added a thin red ribbon as a hair tie.  The various ribbons and brad are from my stash.
