The Card Concept 2

Hello friends,

Today's card was created for this week's The Card Concept.  I chose to go with Clean and Simple.  I've been busy with other projects, leaving little time to make cards.

My card:

The card base is Whisper White, with another layer of the same, but I added some texture with the cuttlebug embossing folder Grace's Frame.  The pretty flowers are from SU! Stippled Blossoms.  I inked the flower with Perfect Plum ink and stamped it off onto some scrap paper one time prior to stamping it onto the white card stock.  The overstamp was also inked in Perfect Plum.  I didn't have my stamp-ma-jig on hand, so I simply eye-balled it.  The leaves were stamped in Wild Wasabi ink.  The sentiment is from SU! Wetland, and was stamped in Early Espresso ink.  Lastly, two small pearls were added to each flower.

Happy Thursday,

I'm popping in quickly to share a simple card I put together using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

 My card:

I began with Whisper White card base, followed with a layer of Baja Breeze card stock.  The pretty patterned papers are from GED Studios paper pad.  The banner is also matted with Baja Breeze.  I stamped the sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Fancy Label 3 in Chocolate Brown ink, and the frame in So Saffron ink.  I then die-cut it with the Spellbinders Label 3 die.  Two small shabby flowers, also from Inspired by Stamping, were placed below the sentiment.

FMS119.. Hello Baby

Happy Friday!

I squeezed some craft time this week and created a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches.  I know I will be using this sketch down the road:

My card:

The card base is Whisper White, topped off with Lucky Limeade card stock. The patterned paper is from my stash.  A knitted baby sweater takes center stage.  I inserted toothpicks to simulate knitting needles.  The circles were die-cut using the Standard Circles Spellbinders.  The sentiment is from SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  For the final touch, I adhered 3 pearls in the bottom right-hand corner.  This was certainly a fun card to put together!

The Card Concept #1

Hello Friends,

There is a new challenge blog called The Card Concept.  This is an exciting challenge, since you have 6 style themes to choose from!  I couldn't resist not making a Valentine's card using this color combo:

My card:

I decided to go with a Clean and Simple (CAS) card.  The card base is Very Vanilla, with another layer of the same card stock.  The branch was die-cut from Espresso card stock using the Memory Box Woodland Branch and the swing was die-cut from Kraft card stock using the Memory Box Set of Swings.  The tree was hand drawn.  Two pink hearts were adhered to the swing using some dimensionals.  The sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping Be Mine, and was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Hello Friends!

Happy New Year!

There is a brand new creative challenge called Colour Me...!  This week, we are asked to use Island Indigo + neutral.

My card:

Today, I decided to go with a clean and simple card.  The card base is Crumb Cake, with a layer of Very Vanilla card stock adhered on the right-hand side.  Using the Memory Box Petite Umbrella, I die-cut 2 umbrellas and layered the negatives over some Island Indigo card stock.  To add some texture, I adhered a scalloped edging underneath the Very Vanilla card stock panel.  The sentiment is SU! Wetlands, and was stamped with Island Indigo ink.  As a final touch, I added two small pearls to the umbrellas.
