PP193...Happy Mother's Day

Happy Monday Everyone,

Today's card was made using this week's Sketch Challenge from The Paper Players.  Like Sandy, I was also drawn to use the Blossom Party Die.  By far, this is my all-time favorite flower die.

I started out with Whisper White card base, and used DCWV La Crème Paper Pad for the long strip patterned paper.  I used some washi tape for the little square, which I thought was the perfect combination.  I then die-cut the pretty flower using Real Red card stock.  I liked the idea how Sandy curled up the petals with a bone folder, as a matter of fact, I liked it so much, I curled the petals the same way too ( thanks Sandy, for the brilliant idea!).  The sentiment is from SU! Wonderful Mother, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  The final details are three pearls on the right hand corner and a big pearl in the center of the flower.

DD#100....Sweet Birthday

Happy Sunday!

I wanted to quickly post this card I created last night.  I am playing along with Dynamic Duos last colour combo! I am so sad to see this wonderful challenge close.  I have certainly become a better card maker when I pushed myself to enter these card challenges.  Ironically, I was waiting for the next Design Team call because I wanted to submit a card for consideration, and when I saw the post about "announcement" - I thought that was it!  :(

For my card, I began with Whisper White card base, and used a mixture of DSP's from SU! Just Add Cake and Comfort Café.  I do not Smokey Slate card stock, but I substituted with something similar from my stash.  I die-cut the ovals with the Creative Memories Ovals Set.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Small Fancy Labels 18, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  A collection of small flowers and a pretty bow added the perfect amount of glam to the card.

I am also adding this card to the following challenges:

Exploring Cricut and More... Happy Spring

Hi Everyone,

The weekend is almost here!  I created a "spring" card for this week's Exploring Cricut and More!  This week is all about celebrating Spring.

The first thing that came to my mind was a basket of flowers!  The card base is Whisper white and all other card stock is from my paper stash.  I used Doodlecharms for the basket, cut at 3", the pretty flowers are from Mother's Day Bouquet, cut at 3.4" and the butterflies are from Create a Critter, also cut at 3.4".  The sentiment was computer generated.  And for the final touch, I adhered two pink bows to the basket.

Rain and Umbrella

Hey Everyone!

Today's card was created for this week's The Kraft Journal Challenge - Rain and The Card Concept - Use an Umbrella.  I think my card is in the Classy and Elegant Category, but not sure.

I began with a Kraft card base, and the layers are from a retired DSP from SU! called Parisian Breeze.  The die-cut umbrella was created using the Memory Box Petite Umbrella.  I then added some rain using a little stamp I borrowed from a sweet friend.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Brown ink, and die-cut it with my circle nesties.

CMCC#15.... Birthday Girl

Happy Friday,

Just popping in quickly to share a card I made using the color challenge over at Colour Me...

I wanted to create simple card, and I thought this color combo was a good fit.  My card base is Whisper White, and the patterned paper is from DSP Patterns Stack Bright Collection.  The cute purse was die-cut with the Memory Box Chic Bag, and I added a pretty flower using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch.  The sentiment is from SU! Petite Pairs, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  Something was missing, so I decided to add a small banner on the top left hand side of the card using MFT Mini Pennant Dies.  A trio of pearls on the banner and on the flower finishes off the details.

The Kraft Journal... Paris or France

Happy Hump Day!

I have a card to share today for this week's The Kraft Journal Challenge.  The challenge is called Paris or France.  Oh, how I would love to take a vacation there!

I've used a mixture of pretty patterned paper from Graphic 45 and Bazzill, and combined them with a Crumb Cake card base.  I used the French Manor Cricut Cartridge to cut out the Eiffel Tower at 5.5".  The die-cut scallop was created with the Scallop Die-Namics - I thought this would be a nice accent to the card.  The final details are a few pearls and a Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon tied into a bow.

Exploring Cricut and More...Happy Easter

Hi Friends,

I am playing along today at Exploring Cricut and More Challenge.  We were asked to create a project with an Easter theme.

I had a blast making this card.  I began with Whisper White card base, and patterned paper from my stash.  I used 4 different cricut cartridges using the Cricut Expression Machine - the chick is from Create a Critter and was cut at 2.5", the decorative frame is from Elegant Edges and was cut at 4", the small Easter eggs are from Doodlecharms and was cut at 2" and the grass is from Plantin Schoolbook and was cut at 1".  The white egg was cut at 5.5 inches and it's also from Doodlecharms, but I created a zig zag pattern on the egg using my scissors.  It looks like the chick is peeking out.  Lastly, I added two pearls to each top corner.

CMCC#14 & The Card Concept.... Butterfly

Hi Friends,

Today I have a spring-theme card to share with you.  My card was created using this week's Butterfly Theme from The Card Concept and Color Challenge from Colour Me.

My card:

Yes, another card using the Hardwood stamp from SU!  I LOVE this background stamp - the possibilities are endless.  I started out with some Kraft card base.  I stamped the Hardwood image on a Whisper White panel in Crumb Cake ink.  I creates a hole on the fence using the smallest spellbinder circle.  The delicate butterflies are from SU! Kindness Matters, and was stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink.  I then arranged them as if they were coming through the hole.  the sentiment is from SU! Elementary Elegance, and was stamped in Early Espresso ink.  I used my handy stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment perfectly.  Two orange rhinestones finishes off the details.

I'm not sure, but I think my card is Freestyle Collage..What do you think?

Addicted to CAS.... Beep Beep

Happy Tuesday,

I can't believe today is the first day of April.  Time is flying!  I came across a card challenge called Addicted to CAS, and I wanted to give it a whirl.

My card

I started out with Whisper White card base.  I took another piece of cardstock and overlapped it to form a window to showcase the little cars.  I then used some washi tape to simulate the road. The cars are from Hero Arts Three Fun Cars, and was stamped in Pacific Point ink.  The sentiment is from SU! Petite Pairs, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.
