The Card Concept & FMS142 ... Oh Baby!

Happy Friday Everyone,

The weekend is finally here!  I had some free time last night, and created a baby card for this week's theme over at The Card Concept.  I think my card is Clean and Layering.  The card layout is this week's  Freshly Made Sketches.

My card:

The card base is Whisper White, and the patterned paper is from SU! Parisian Breeze.  I matted both the images and sentiment with Baja Breeze card stock.  I stamped the hot air balloons from Inspired by Stamping The Sky's the Limit with Early Espresso ink, fussy cut them and adhered them to the patterned paper with dimensional dots.  The clouds are from the top of the cupcake punch from SU!  The two flags were die-cut with MFT Fishtail Flags.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Big Notes III, also stamped in Early Espresso ink.  Two enamel dots finish off the details.

CASology 101... Thinking of You

Happy Wednesday,

Today, I have a quick card to share with you for this week's CASology.  The cue word is wood.

When I was a little girl, I used to love to play outside, especially on those long summer days.  One of my favorite things to do was to play on the swings, and I remember the seat of my swing was made out of wood.  Having that vision in my mind, I knew exactly what I wanted to create.  I started out with Whisper White card base, with another layer of white card stock.  The branch was die-cut with the Memory Box Woodland Branch, and the swing was die-cut with the Memory Box Set of Swings Die.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Fancy Sentiments, and was stamped in Early Espresso ink.  For some added details, I adhered a pearl to the little butterfly and placed it on the swing.

Exploring Cricut and More Challenge ... Wedding Card

Happy Thursday,

I'm popping in very quickly to share a card for this week's Exploring Cricut and More challenge.    This week's theme is Wedding.  I happened to have my Cricut Expression machine out, so I decided to create a quick and simple wedding card.

I began my card with Whisper White card stock base, followed with Basic Black card stock.  The pretty patterned paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle Swoon 6X6 Paper Pad.  The pretty doily is part of the paper!  I just love the way it looks.  I then took a piece of grey card stock and embossed it with SU! Vintage Wallpaper.  I divided the top and bottom of the card with some black Grosgrain ribbon. The wedding cake is from Creative Memories' Divine Wedding cartridge, and was cut at 2 1/4 inches.  I happened to have a matted oval laying around, so I decided to use it for this card.  For some added details, I adhered a small pearl to each tier of the cake.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

The Kraft Journal... Father's Day Card

Happy Friday!

I have a card to share with you for this week's The Kraft Journal.  Theme this week is "Just for Him"

My card:

I started out with Crumb Cake card base, followed with Not Quite Navy card stock.  The card is sponged with Sahara Sand ink and Bashful Blue ink, masking off different areas to create the ocean and sand.  The rock stamps & the flying birds (unknown company) were stamped in Basic Black, and colored with a grey pencil.  The other birds are from SU! Wetlands Stamp Set.  The sentiment is from Michael's Craft Store, and was stamped in Early Espresso ink.  For a final last touch, I added some green leaves from the same stamp set on the bottom right hand side of the card.
