HSS Color Challenge #200... Happy Card

Hey Peeps,

Today I am sharing a card using the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  I fell in love with this week's colors:

This is what I came up with:

I had a hard to photographing this card.  The polka dot patterned paper and the leaves are grey, but it looks more like a mellow moss color (Sorry!).  It looks so different in person.

Card Recipe:

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Echo Park's Dots & Stripes patterned paper
Ink: Basic Black, Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise
Stamps: SU! Simple Stems, Kindness Matters & Petite Pairs
Other Products: Sizzlits Little Leaves, white ribbon

Thanks for stopping by,

The Paper Players #146

Happy Sunday!

Today I am sharing a card for this week's The Paper Players Challenge.  We were asked to create CAS Masculine Card.  For this challenge, I CASE'd a card I made a couple of weeks ago, you can see it HERE.

My card:

The base of the card is Very Vanilla and the plaid patterned paper is from Echo Park.  I created a shirt card!  I used the Petite Pennants to punch out 2 banners for the bow, which were embossed with the Houndstoooth Embossing Folder.  In the middle of the card, I added a piece of black cardstock and adhered another piece of patterned paper on top.  I hand drew the two pockets for the shirt.  The sentiment is from SU! Best Dad Ever.  As for the final touch, I adhered 3 small green buttons.

The Paper Players #127

Hello my friends,

I came across this card challenge, and the theme caught my eye, "Love is in the Air" - I  immediately knew what I wanted to create!

My card:

Even though I don't have any hearts on my card, I thought this elegant dress would be appropriate for a Valentine's Card.  I found this dress template in my stash, but unfortunately, I do not know the creator's name.  To make the dress look fancy, I adhered black ribbon and a small bow with a pearl.  The pretty paper is from Echo Park Yours Truly Paper Pad - leftover from last year.  The red bling finishes my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by,

Freshly Made Sketches #42

Hello my friends,

Happy Thursday!  even though it feels like a Monday for me :)  I decided to play along over at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  They have a sketch perfect for my golfer.

Here is my card:

I started out with Very Vanilla as my card base and used Echo Park's This & That paper pad for my layers.  I picked this paper combo because it gives it an old-school look that goes with the golfer (note the smudge effect where the brown lines intersect).   I don't know if you can see it, but I used my paper crimper for my yellow strip of paper, just to give it some texture.  My sentiment is from SU Happy Greetings (retired).

Thanks for looking!
