Freshly Made Sketch #49

Hello my friends,

I was able to create a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketch #49 challenge much earlier than usual! When I saw the sketch, different ideas were running through my head, until I decided on the theme: birthday.

My card:

I started out with SU Very Vanilla cardstock and used BoBunny Sweet Tooth polka-dots paper.  I think this paper screams ice cream! - what do you think?  I used Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Edge Punch for the brown and pink glitter paper, and taped the glitter brown on pink paper and glitter pink on brown paper.  I punched out 5 circles using the 3/4 circle punch.  I then adhered Wilton's Lollipop Sticks to create the yummy cake pops!  For the sentiment, I used Big Wishes by Inspired by Stamping, heat embossed the image with SU Melon Mambo Stampin Emboss Powder.  To add some color, I added some pretty aqua color ribbon, punched 2 small hot pink circles and added some bling!  I then decided to add some hot pink scalloped paper on the bottom as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
