Hand Stamped Sentiments...Christmas Card

Hi friends,

Just popping in to share a card for this week's Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge.  I immediately thought of Christmas lights.  I guess because I'm beginning to see them around my neighborhood (a bit early since we haven't had Thanksgiving yet) but, oh well!

My card:

I don't have a lot of Christmas stamps, but I do have Cricut Cartridges that have Christmas images.  I pulled out my Christmas Cheer Cricut Cartridge for the bright Christmas lights.

Happy Saturday!

For today's card, I'm playing along with this week's Stamp Ink Paper Challenge.  Their theme is floral.

My card:

I created a very simple birthday card, using a stamp I haven't used in awhile.  It's by Penny Black called Charming.  I did, however, mask off a flower because it was a bit too long.

Supplies:
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black (SU!), lavender card stock, Neenah Solar White; Stamps: Charming (Penny Black), Big Wishes (Inspired by Stamping); Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento); Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig; Other: Copic Markers, Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh)

The Paper Players: White on White & 52CCT

Happy Sunday!

I took some time out of my Sunday afternoon to make a card.  The Paper Players Challenge has an elegant color theme - White on White or Vanilla, plus a neutral or metallic sentiment:

Over at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Challenge, we were asked to choose any past 2013 Challenge.  I chose Theme #1: Christmas Flowers:

My card:

My card literally took about 15 minutes.  I wish all of my cards were that quick to put together!  The card base is Whisper White, with a second layer embossed with the Holly folder.  This folder is one of my favorites for Christmas cards.  I used more Whisper White to die-cut the beautiful poinsettia using the Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia.  The sentiment is from Penny Black Christmas Cheer, and was stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia.  I thought it was the perfect sentiment for an all-white Christmas card.  A simple rhinestone in the middle of the poinsettia finishes off the details.
