Freshly Made Sketches #58

Hello my friends,

I'm here to share a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches:  This great sketch was designed by Narelle!  I love it!

My card:

The base is Whisper White, with a layer of red cardstock.  The pretty papers are from SU Festival of Prints.  I decided to dust off my SU Stocking Builder Punch  to create two Christmas stockings.  I used red glitter and gold paper, and added a small red bow.  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.  As for the final touch, 3 gold rhinestones were added on the right hand side of the card.

IBSIC #31 Meets Dynamic Duos #25 Meets Paper Players #18

Hello my friends,

I'm here to share a card for 3 separate challenges:

IBSIC #31 -  Halloween Photo Inspiration.  We were asked to use ORANGE, BLACK AND CREAMS/WHITES as the main color:

IBSIC #31

Dynamic Duos Challenge #25 - This week's combo is orange and black:

And The Paper Players #18 - It's all about the fun theme: FRAMES:

My card:

The base card is Whisper White and is matted with Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  The orange layer is SU DSP Patterns Pack and the black is from The Little Yellow Bicycle Swoon 6x6 Paper Pad.  I used the labels 3 Spellbinders to make the mats for the 2 orange flowers.  They were cut from the Blossom Party Die and the leaves are from the bird punch.  The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Banners.   Lastly, I added 4 tiny black rhinestones to each corner of the card!

On a personal note:

After months of emailing back and forth, I finally met in person one of my sweet blog friends, Penny, from http://pennyline.blogspot.com/.  About a month ago, she invited me to accompany her to the Scrapbook Expo.  This is where 70+ vendors come out and display their goodies at the Ontario Convention Center, from stickers, paper, embellishments, copic markers, glitter and much more.  We had a blast!  To my surprise, she made this beautiful box, as a gift for me:

This is a closer look from the top.  She added buttons, ribbon, pearls, flowers...But wait, there's more...

When I opened the box, I found all this!

Lots of pretty lace and ribbons!  My jaw dropped! I loved it all!  and who wouldn't  :)   She owns an Etsy Store, which you can find on her blog, and where you can purchase any of this loveliness too!
We are planning a get together during the Christmas holidays, and another trip to next year's Scrapbook Expo!

Freshly Made Sketches #57

Hello my friends,

I'm here to share a card I created for this week's Freshly Made Sketches.

My card:

The card base is SU Whisper White.  The other layers are from a retired DSP from Stampin Up, but I don't remember the name of it.  The flower is from SU Reason to Smile Stamp Set and the sentiment is from the Inspired by Stamping Store.  I used the Oval Spellbinder to cut out the image.  I added a small butterfly with a tiny rhinestone for a little shine!  As for the finishing touch, I added brown ribbon and inserted into a pretty ribbon slide.

Cupcake Craft Room - Anything goes in Autumn

Hello my friends,

Today I am sharing a card I made for this month's Cupcake Craft Room Challenge.  We were asked to create a card with the focus on Autumn.

A couple of weeks ago, I purchased pretty "Fall" paper and matching stickers by Jillibean-Soup.  One of the stickers says "Gobble 'til you Wobble."  I immediately knew I wanted to create a turkey as the focal point of my card:

I used SU Owl Punch and the 1 3/4 Scallop Punch to create the turkey.  I added some eyes and the beak (a small square folded in half).  I remember making these last year.  They are easy and fun to assemble!
Lastly, I added an orange ribbon and 2 brown rhinestones on each top corner of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Freshly Made Sketches #56

Hello my friends,

Today, I have a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #56:

My card:

The base card is SU Whisper White. I grabbed my Little Yellow Bicycle Swoon Paper Pad for the layers.  This paper pad is perfect for wedding or sympathy cards.  I combined the gray with Rich Razzleberry for the pretty flowers I inked and cut, using Vintage Vogue Stamp Set.  I added a small pearl in the middle of each flower.  The sentiment is from Thoughts & Prayers, which was also stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink.  I added 3 mini pearls under the sentiment (I just felt something was missing).  Lastly, I added a ribbon with a pretty brad.

IBSIC #29

Hello my friends,

I'm here to share a card for this week's Inspired by Stamping Challenge #29.  We were asked to use Browns, Greens and Creams/Whites.  Joanna's photo inspiration is beautiful!

IBSIC#29

My card:

The card base is Crumb cake and the layers are from the Orchard Harvest Paper Pad.  I wanted to use the Grand Madison Window, by Poppystamps, for this card, since I have not used it in a while.  The background are trees from SU Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  Using my MS punch, I added some fall color leaves/branches and a button with a bow made with Baker's Twine.

The card gives me a feeling that Fall and Winter are near.

Dynamic Duos #23

Hello my friends,

I hope everyone had a nice weekend!  A couple of days ago, I stumbled on this beautiful card on Splitcoaststampers, click here.  I CASE'd the card for this week's Dynamic Duos Challenge, but made some changes to it.

My card:

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the next layer is Very Vanilla (even though it looks white). I embossed it with the Square Lattice Folder.  I used the Days of Gratitude Stamp Set from SU.  I stamped 5 leaves with Tangerine Tango and 5 leaves with Old Olive, then I gently cut them out with my paper snips.  I also stamped and cut out 4 acorns.  Once that was completed, the rest of the card came together fairly quickly.  In the middle of the wreath, I stamped the sentiment (same stamp set) with Old Olive.  Lastly, I added 4 rhinestones to each corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Freshly Made Sketches #55

Hello my friends,

Happy Saturday!  I have a card to share with you for this week's Freshly Made Sketches.

My card:

I bought this stamp set called Snow Much Fun from SU last year after the Christmas holidays, and I was excited to finally create a card with it.  I just love the cute images.  My base is Very Vanilla and the layers are from SU Scrapbooking Kit called Christmas Jingle (retired).  I used my Circle Spellbinders for the snowman, and embossed the green paper with the Square Lattice Folder. Using the Certainly Celery and Ruby Red markers, I colored the hat and scarf.  I first added Frosted Lace Stickles to the snowball, but I really didn't like the way it looked.  So, I adhered a mini pom-pom instead, and it made such a big difference!  Lastly, I added 3 rhinestones to the right-hand side of the card.
