IPC11... You're Tweet!

Hello Everyone,

I stumbled on this new-to-me challenge, Newton's Nook Inky Paws, and I fell in love with the bright citrus colors!  It gave me the chance to take out my Copic markers.

Inky Paws Challenge #11 - Citrus Color Challenge - Newton's Nook Designs

My card:

I began with a Whisper White card base, followed by a layer of hot pink.  The rest of the patterned papers are from my stash.  The digital image was colored with the following Copic markers: R83, Y02, Y06, Y11, YG00, YG01, YG03.  The banner was die-cut with MFT Fishtail Flags.  For some added details, I adhered small rhinestones to the banner.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Merry Monday #87

Hi Everyone,

Just popping in quickly to share a card I made for this week's Merry Monday Challenge.  We were asked to create a card with a mitten(s).

My card:

For my card, I wanted to create a snowy scene, keeping it soft and on the clean side.  I began with Whisper White card stock, and a second layer of the same.  The branch was die-cut with the Memory Box Woodland Branch, and the tree trunk was hand drawn.  I printed the mittens on X-Press It Blended Card and colored them with Copic markers.  I thought it would be fun to hang the mittens from one of the branches, so with some black floss, I looped it over and adhered it to the mittens.  Using Memento Summer Sky ink, I created snowy slopes.  To complete the winter scene, I sprinkled some fuzzy flock on the branches and on the ground.

Here is a close-up:

The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Elegant Christmas Sentiments, and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo ink.

I am also adding my card to the following challenges:

Inspired by Stamping - December Customer Gallery Contest
CAS On Sunday  - Christmas!
Simon Says... - Let it Snow
CAS-ual Fridays - Let it Snow

Merry Monday #82 & TPE224

Hi Everyone,

Happy Tuesday!  Today's card was created for this week's The Pink Elephant card challenge.

The colors I chose are this week's Merry Monday color combo.

My card:

I began with Whisper White card base, followed by Real Red and patterned paper from MME.  The sweet snowman is from the SU! Snow Much Fun set, and I colored him with Copic markers.  I matted both the image and patterned paper panel with Aqua card stock.  I then stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and adhered it to the cardfront overlapping the image panel and the patterned paper. Two mini pom-poms and four red pearls finished off the card.

Thanks for taking a peek,

The Kraft Journal: Inks, Paints or Markers

Hello Everyone!

I'm popping in quickly to share a card I made for this week's The Kraft Journal.  We were asked to use Inks, Paints or Markers.

My card:

One of my best friends from high school birthday is on the 4th of July, so I made her this birthday card.  How fun to have a day off from work every year, don't you agree?  The base is Kraft cardstock, followed by pretty paper from Pebbles.  I used copic markers (R29 and B24)  to color the balloons and the wheels of the bicycle.  The image was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I popped up the balloons and the basket using dimensionals.  The sentiment is from SU! Itty Bitty Banners.  Lastly, I added some rhinestones to the top and bottom of the card.  I hope my friend likes it!

I'm also submitting my card over at Word Art Wednesday Challenge.

Merry Monday #51

Hello my friends,

I haven't had the opportunity to play along with Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenges in a long time, so I decided to create a card and join in the fun!  This week, it's Tic Tac Toe:

I chose the combo Punches, Digital and Cute.  I was in the mood to make a fun card!

The base of the card is Real Red Cardstock, the next layer is Green Cardstock from DCWV and the patterned paper is from SU! Festival of Prints.  I purchased this adorable digital stamp from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps called Snow Much Love.  I colored the image with copic markers.  Using the Circle & Lacey Circle Spellbinders, I cut out a red circle and a green lacey circle to make the image stand out.  I embossed a piece of green cardstock, adhered red ribbon on top of it and added a pretty bow.  As a finishing touch, I punched out some branches using MS Branch Punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

The Paper Players #129 & DD#36

Hello my friends.

I'm so happy to share with you that my card, see HERE, was selected as one of the Cut Above winners over at The Paper Players...Thank you, Nance!
Today, I created another card combining 2 card challenges: The Paper Players #129 & Dynamic Duos #36:

My card:

I love making Clean and Simple Cards because they are super fast to make!!  The base is Whisper White, following with Real Red cardstock.  Again, I made my own background paper by photocopying the page from a dictionary that has the definition word "Love" - it's in the top left-hand corner.  The image is from SU! Greetings Card Kids, colored with Copic Markers.  The sentiment is from IBS Be Mine Stamp Set.  To add balance to the card, I added Red Baker's Twine and 2 red rhinestones.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

The Cupcake Craftroom - Pretty Pastels

Hello everyone,

Happy Saturday!  I'm here to share with you a card I created for a new challenge I stumbled upon on my friend Tammy's blog called The Cupcake Craftroom Challenge.  The challenge is to use pastels. After seeing all the beautiful cards created by the design team, I wanted to join in on the fun too.

My card:

I used the pastel color pink, baby blue for the layers and a polka dots paper from K&Company called Snuggle Bug Mad Pad.  It was stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it in with the following Copic Markers:  EOO, EOOO, CI, C3, R81, R83, RV25, BOO and B02. The dies I used were Spellbinders Classic Oval and Lacey Ovals.  For the final touches, I added a pink ribbon and 2 buttons!  I think she looks very pretty.

Freshly Made Sketch #47

Happy Sunday Everyone!

My card today is for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #47.  Since my husband and I are invited to a wedding in October and another one in November, I decided to start making wedding cards!

My card:

My card base is SU Whisper White and the rest are from my stash.  I used the Circle and Lacey Circle Spellbinder for the bride and groom.  Not sure if you can see it, but with the Pearl Pen (cream color), I added little dots around the loops on the Lacy Circle .  I let this dry for about an hour before adding the white tulle for the veil.  I then colored with Copic Markers, and used Diamond Stickles for the dress.  It gave it a pretty shine. I wrapped a small piece of white tulle to the right hand side of the card.  Lastly, I added 2 little silver hearts with a tiny pearl in the middle of each one, and 2 pearls on the top.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Freshly Made Sketches #44

Hello my friends,

Happy Sunday!  Not feeling great today, but I wanted to make a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #44.

My card:

I used paper from SU Sweet Pea Paper Stack, and stamped the digi on Neenah Paper and colored with copic markers (sorry, I put them away before writing down the ones I used).  Sentiment and punches are from SU.  I then gently cut out her flower and popped it up with foam tape.  Not sure if you can see it, but I carefully added some silver stickles to her necklace and the middle of her flower.
Thanks for looking!
