Merry Monday #73

Hello everyone,

I have a card to share for this week's Merry Monday.  We were asked to create a Christmas card using Red, Green and Kraft, with a choice of Ribbon, Twine or Burlap.  I incorporated both Ribbon and Burlap.

My card:

I began with Crumb Cake, followed by Real Red and Authentique Collection: Joyous patterned paper.  The ovals were die-cut from Whisper White and Real Red card stock using the classic oval spellbinders.  I stamped the sentiment from SU! Snow Swirled in Tuxedo Black ink, and added some curls using SU! Priceless Stamp Set.  I then took some burlap, die-cut it with the largest die using the Labels 18 and adhered it behind the sentiment.  A strip of red taffeta ribbon was added on the right hand side of the card, along with a double bow.  To add balance to the card, I used Spellbinders Shapabilities Layered Poinsettia die to create a small poinsettia.

I'm linking up at Link Up Tuesday.

Thanks for joining me today,

Merry Monday #56

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I'm heading out the door, but wanted to upload my card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge #56.

My Card:

The base of the card is Very Vanilla, followed with Real Red cardstock and a pretty red patterned paper from my stash.  The stripes are from from SU!  Print Poetry.  I've flipped the sketch on it's side as it worked better for my layout.  The sentiment is from SU! Snow Swirled, heat embossed with gold powder to make it stand out.  The beautiful poinsettia is from a Spellbinder die.  To give it some color, I added some green leaves using MS Holly punch

Merry Monday Any Past Sketch Will Do! & The Play Date Cafe 'Color Splash' Challenge #159

Hello my friends.

Happy Tuesday!  I would like to thank Leslie and the design team members for choosing my card as the Top Pick!  I almost fell off my chair, I couldn't believe it!  You can see my card HERE.

Today, I created a card for this week's Merry Monday - Any Past Sketch Will Do!  I chose Challenge #33 Sketch:

I used the combo colors Black, White and a "Splash" of Maroon from The Play Date Cafe Challenge #159:

My card:

The card base is Very Vanilla, followed with Cherry Cobler and SU Festival of Prints.  The gorgeous Christmas Tree is from SU Snow Swirled Stamp Set.  I added some rhinestones to the tree and a thick black ribbon in the middle.  I also incorporated red ribbon and made a pretty bow on top.  The sentiment is from Just Rite Noel Christmas Ornaments.  This stamp set has 15 different sentiments. I love it!

Freshly Made Sketches #61

Hello my friends,

It's almost Friday, and I can't wait!  Before I go to bed, I want to share a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #61.  This fabulous sketch is from Jennifer T.:

My card:

The base of the card is Whisper White, Bashful Blue for the next layer and pretty Christmas paper from Recollections.  I purchased the digi stamp at Whimsy Doodle and colored with copic markers.  The sentiment and snowflakes are from SU Snow Swirled Stamp Set.  I used Bashful Blue ink and Chocolate Chip ink for the images and embellished the snowflakes with some bling.  In the middle of the card, I added silver cardstock and Bashful Blue ribbon from SU (retired).
