Simple Birthday Card

Hey Everyone,

Happy Friday!  Today's card was made using this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, and over at The Kraft Journal, we were asked to create a clean and simple project.

My card:

I chose Whisper White card base, with layers of White card stock and Kraft card stock.  I then added texture to the Very Vanilla layer with the En Francais background stamp. I used my favorite flower die - Blossom Party Die - as the focal point.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs, and was stamped in Early Espresso ink.  A trio of coordinating button, ribbon and white twine finish off the details.

PP193...Happy Mother's Day

Happy Monday Everyone,

Today's card was made using this week's Sketch Challenge from The Paper Players.  Like Sandy, I was also drawn to use the Blossom Party Die.  By far, this is my all-time favorite flower die.

I started out with Whisper White card base, and used DCWV La Crème Paper Pad for the long strip patterned paper.  I used some washi tape for the little square, which I thought was the perfect combination.  I then die-cut the pretty flower using Real Red card stock.  I liked the idea how Sandy curled up the petals with a bone folder, as a matter of fact, I liked it so much, I curled the petals the same way too ( thanks Sandy, for the brilliant idea!).  The sentiment is from SU! Wonderful Mother, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  The final details are three pearls on the right hand corner and a big pearl in the center of the flower.

CMCC#12... Pretty Flowers

Happy Thursday!

Today, I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge over at Colour Me.

My card:

To make my card, I began with a Whisper White card base, and added layers of pretty patterned paper from my stash.  I used the Blossom Party Original die to create the flowers.  These were the only ones that would fit perfectly diagonally.  The sentiment is from SU! Petite Pairs, stamped in Early Espresso ink and die-cut with the circle nesties.  The image panel is matted on Pear Pizzazz card stock (it looks darker in the picture).  For some added details, I adhered 2 tiny pearls to the butterfly.

Freshly Made Sketches #94 & Seize the Birthday

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I have a card to share with you today for 2 card challenges:

 My card:

The base of the card is Whisper White, followed by Baja Breeze.  The patterned paper is by Pebbles, Inc. - one of my favorites.  I love using this gingham paper.  Using So Saffron cardstock, I created a pretty flower using the Originals Blossom Party die.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Cupcake Wishes.  I finished it off by adding some pearls here and there.

I'm also sharing my card over at Inspired by Stamping Customer Gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping,

IBSIC #31 Meets Dynamic Duos #25 Meets Paper Players #18

Hello my friends,

I'm here to share a card for 3 separate challenges:

IBSIC #31 -  Halloween Photo Inspiration.  We were asked to use ORANGE, BLACK AND CREAMS/WHITES as the main color:

IBSIC #31

Dynamic Duos Challenge #25 - This week's combo is orange and black:

And The Paper Players #18 - It's all about the fun theme: FRAMES:

My card:

The base card is Whisper White and is matted with Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  The orange layer is SU DSP Patterns Pack and the black is from The Little Yellow Bicycle Swoon 6x6 Paper Pad.  I used the labels 3 Spellbinders to make the mats for the 2 orange flowers.  They were cut from the Blossom Party Die and the leaves are from the bird punch.  The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Banners.   Lastly, I added 4 tiny black rhinestones to each corner of the card!

On a personal note:

After months of emailing back and forth, I finally met in person one of my sweet blog friends, Penny, from http://pennyline.blogspot.com/.  About a month ago, she invited me to accompany her to the Scrapbook Expo.  This is where 70+ vendors come out and display their goodies at the Ontario Convention Center, from stickers, paper, embellishments, copic markers, glitter and much more.  We had a blast!  To my surprise, she made this beautiful box, as a gift for me:

This is a closer look from the top.  She added buttons, ribbon, pearls, flowers...But wait, there's more...

When I opened the box, I found all this!

Lots of pretty lace and ribbons!  My jaw dropped! I loved it all!  and who wouldn't  :)   She owns an Etsy Store, which you can find on her blog, and where you can purchase any of this loveliness too!
We are planning a get together during the Christmas holidays, and another trip to next year's Scrapbook Expo!
