Exploring Cricut and More...Christmas Card

Hey Everyone,

Today I am popping in with a quick share; a card I made for this week's Exploring Cricut and More.
They are having a Christmas in July Blog Hop!

My card has a Whisper White card base, followed by red card stock.  I cut the Christmas trees at 2.5" using the Joys of the Season cartridge, and the cute reindeer at 1.5" using Create a Critter cartridge.  I then used some fun flock to add fluffy snow to the edges of the slope (sorry, it's hard to see).  I stamped the holiday sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Elegant Christmas Sentiment in Basic Black ink.  Blue rhinestones and red Baker's Twine finish off the details.

I'm also linking up to Inspired by Stamping August Customer Gallery.

Exploring Cricut and More Challenge ... Wedding Card

Happy Thursday,

I'm popping in very quickly to share a card for this week's Exploring Cricut and More challenge.    This week's theme is Wedding.  I happened to have my Cricut Expression machine out, so I decided to create a quick and simple wedding card.

I began my card with Whisper White card stock base, followed with Basic Black card stock.  The pretty patterned paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle Swoon 6X6 Paper Pad.  The pretty doily is part of the paper!  I just love the way it looks.  I then took a piece of grey card stock and embossed it with SU! Vintage Wallpaper.  I divided the top and bottom of the card with some black Grosgrain ribbon. The wedding cake is from Creative Memories' Divine Wedding cartridge, and was cut at 2 1/4 inches.  I happened to have a matted oval laying around, so I decided to use it for this card.  For some added details, I adhered a small pearl to each tier of the cake.

Exploring Cricut...Summer Memories

Hi Everyone,

I have a fun and simple card to share with you for this week's Exploring Cricut and More Challenge.  This weeks theme is "Here Comes Summer" and we were asked to incorporate blue and red.  When I think of summer, I remember my mom dressing me up with denim shorts or denim overalls and playing outside with my brothers - climbing trees, bike riding and eating ice-cream.  Oh, those were the days!

I started out with Whisper White card base, and red patterned paper from my stash.  I divided the top and bottom of the card with a strip of red ribbon and red taffeta ribbon, which I made into a bow.  The ovals were die-cut from more Whisper White and Blue card stock using the ovals spellbinders.  I used the Cricut Cartridge Freshly Picked, and cut out the denim pants at 3 inches.  The sentiment is from SU! Petite Pairs, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  For the final touch, I added 2 red dots to the overalls.

Exploring Cricut and More...Happy Easter

Hi Friends,

I am playing along today at Exploring Cricut and More Challenge.  We were asked to create a project with an Easter theme.

I had a blast making this card.  I began with Whisper White card base, and patterned paper from my stash.  I used 4 different cricut cartridges using the Cricut Expression Machine - the chick is from Create a Critter and was cut at 2.5", the decorative frame is from Elegant Edges and was cut at 4", the small Easter eggs are from Doodlecharms and was cut at 2" and the grass is from Plantin Schoolbook and was cut at 1".  The white egg was cut at 5.5 inches and it's also from Doodlecharms, but I created a zig zag pattern on the egg using my scissors.  It looks like the chick is peeking out.  Lastly, I added two pearls to each top corner.

Exploring Cricut

Good morning!

Before I head off to a busy Saturday, I want to share a bag I created for this week's Exploring Cricut Challenge.  We were asked to create a tag, a bag, or box from any cricut cartridge and include at least one ribbon.

My bag:

I decided to pull Baby Steps Cricut Cartridge to embellish the small white bag that I need for a baby shower gift.  I used all scraps to cut out this darling baby girl.  She was cut out at 5.5 inches, and the rattle was cut out at 1.5 inches.  I used a 3/4 punch for the circles, and adhered two bows on each of the handles.

Exploring Cricut...Be My Valentine

Happy Monday,

I have a card to share with you for this week's Exploring Cricut.  We were asked to create a project with a Valentine theme.

My card:

I began with Crumb Cake card base, followed by some pretty patterned paper from my stash.  I happened to have Love You a Latte cartridge on my desk, since I was working on some projects, so I decided to use it for this challenge.  I cut the to-go cup and all layers at 4 1/2" - perfect size for an A2 card.  I used Whisper White, Tan, Chocolate Chip and Real Red card stock.  I cut a small tag at 1 1/4" using the Elegant Edges cartridge.  I then placed 2 small hearts using a puncher, and a small red rhinestone to one of the hearts.  To finish it off, I wrapped the lid with Red Baker's Twine and tied it to the tag.

Adding my card to:
The Pink Elephant - Challenge # 237 Happy Valentine's Day
Fussy & Fancy - Challenge #107 "Be My Valentine"

Exploring Cricut - Halloween Theme

Happy Monday!

It's another week at Exploring Cricut.  We were asked to create a project with a Halloween theme, along with 2 Cricut cuts.

My card:

I started off with Basic Black, followed with a layer of Whisper White card stock.  I then added a layer of patterned paper from my Halloween scrap pile.  I matted both the image and the orange patterned paper with black card stock.  I decided to use Happy Hauntings Cartridge - one of my favorite cartridges.  I cut the mouse at 2.5 inches and the little pumpkin at 3 inches.  Using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, I cut the word "BOO" at 1 inch.  I then cut the black scallop border at 1 inch using the Elegant Edges cartridge, adhered it under the sentiment and embellished it with orange rhinestones.  For the final touch, I wrapped some black floss beneath the image for some depth.

Happy Birthday Exploring Cricut Challenge

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Today I have a card to share with you for this week's Exploring Cricut.  This month, they are celebrating their 3rd Birthday!  We were asked to create a birthday paper craft with 1 button, brad or jewel.

My card:

For my card, I chose the Paper Pups Cricut Cartridge.  It's been a long time I don't use this cute cartridge.  I began with Kraft cardstock, followed by pretty papers from the All Spice Collection My Mind's Eye. The border on the right hand side was cut using MFT Die-namic Simply Scallop.  The doggy was cut at 1 1/4", and the party hat at 1".  The scallop circles are from the Elegant Edges cartridge, and they were cut at 3".   The sentiment is from SU! Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set, stamped with Basic Black ink and cropped with Bitty Banners Framelits Die.  For the final touch, I adhered 4 jewels on the right hand side where the scallops join together.

Exploring Cricut: Cricut Choice

Happy Tuesday!

Just popping in quickly to share a card I made for this week's Exploring Cricut.  We were asked to create a project using 2 cricut cuts.

I decided to use Create a Critter for the cute bird, and Elegant Edges for the scallop frame - two of my favorite cartridges!  My card begins with Kraft card base, and added layers of My Mind's Eye All Spice designer papers.  The bird was cut at 3 inches, and I used dimensionals to pop him up.  The frame was cut at 3 1/2 inches, and to finish it off, I adhered small rhinestones to the four corners.

The Kraft Journal - Cute Critters and Exploring Cricut

Howdy!

I created this card for two challenges.  The first is the Kraft Journal - it's all about "Cute Critters" this week.  The second is a brand new paper craft challenge I happened to stumble upon called Exploring Cricut.

My card:

My card begins with a kraft card base, followed by red and kraft gingham patterned cardstock.  I think it gives the card a "western feel" don't you think?  I used one of my favorite cartridges, Create a Critter.  The horse was cut at 2.5 inches.  I used 3 shades of brown cardstock.  I just love the scarf around his neck!  The star was cut at 1 inch.

I think I will give this card to my nephew for his birthday.  I hope he likes it!

I'm also sharing my card over at Word Art Wednesday.
