Global Design Project... Baby Girl Card

Hi everyone,

Just popping in to share the card I made for this week's Global Design Project - it's all about babies!   I've been on a roll using my Cricut Expression for a lot of different projects, so of course, I wanted to create a simple baby card.  I used the Baby Shower Cricut Cartridge for the hot air balloon, and the Hello Kitty Cricut Cartridge for the clouds.

HSS Sketch Challenge... Little Giraffe

Hey friends,

Taking a break from holiday cards, I decided to create a baby card for this week's Hand Stamped Sketch Challenge.  The card base is Whisper White and the layers are pretty patterned papers from DCWV Dot Stack Paper Pad.  I used the Create a Critter cricut cartridge to cut out the cute giraffe.  I then used some yellow and white Baker's Twine, wrapped it around the card twice, then added a small bow to the left hand side of the card.

The Card Concept & FMS142 ... Oh Baby!

Happy Friday Everyone,

The weekend is finally here!  I had some free time last night, and created a baby card for this week's theme over at The Card Concept.  I think my card is Clean and Layering.  The card layout is this week's  Freshly Made Sketches.

My card:

The card base is Whisper White, and the patterned paper is from SU! Parisian Breeze.  I matted both the images and sentiment with Baja Breeze card stock.  I stamped the hot air balloons from Inspired by Stamping The Sky's the Limit with Early Espresso ink, fussy cut them and adhered them to the patterned paper with dimensional dots.  The clouds are from the top of the cupcake punch from SU!  The two flags were die-cut with MFT Fishtail Flags.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Big Notes III, also stamped in Early Espresso ink.  Two enamel dots finish off the details.

Exploring Cricut

Good morning!

Before I head off to a busy Saturday, I want to share a bag I created for this week's Exploring Cricut Challenge.  We were asked to create a tag, a bag, or box from any cricut cartridge and include at least one ribbon.

My bag:

I decided to pull Baby Steps Cricut Cartridge to embellish the small white bag that I need for a baby shower gift.  I used all scraps to cut out this darling baby girl.  She was cut out at 5.5 inches, and the rattle was cut out at 1.5 inches.  I used a 3/4 punch for the circles, and adhered two bows on each of the handles.

FMS119.. Hello Baby

Happy Friday!

I squeezed some craft time this week and created a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches.  I know I will be using this sketch down the road:

My card:

The card base is Whisper White, topped off with Lucky Limeade card stock. The patterned paper is from my stash.  A knitted baby sweater takes center stage.  I inserted toothpicks to simulate knitting needles.  The circles were die-cut using the Standard Circles Spellbinders.  The sentiment is from SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  For the final touch, I adhered 3 pearls in the bottom right-hand corner.  This was certainly a fun card to put together!

The Kraft Journal: Babies or Brides Challenge

Hello my friends,

It's another week over at The Kraft Journal Challenge.  We were asked to create a project either Baby or Bride Theme.  I chose Baby since I don't know anybody getting married anytime soon!

My card:

The base of the card is Pretty in Pink, followed with a piece of white cardstock added on top.  I embossed it with Seeing Spots folder.  I then added a strip of kraft cardstock on the bottom, embossed that piece with SU! Delicate Designs.  Taking center stage is a knitted baby sweater.  I added toothpicks to assimilate knitting needles.  I mounted the sweater on oval cut out with Spellbinders Classic Oval Dies.  For my finishing touch, I adhered a pretty pink bow to the sweater.

I'm also participating over at Word Art Wednesday and Link Up Tuesday.

Dynamic Duos #53

Hi Everyone!

I have a card to share with you for this week's Dynamic Duos #53.  We were asked to use Pacific Point and Basic Black, with the dessert option to use a Kid Theme.  I went with a Baby Theme instead.

My Card:

The base of the card is Whisper White, followed by Basic Black cardstock.  The only piece of patterned paper I have that has the color Pacific Point is from the International Bazaar DSP, and even though it's not "baby" patterned paper, I decided to roll with it.  I asked a co-worker if she would be kind enough to knit a small baby shirt for my card, and in 15 minutes, it was done!  I inserted toothpicks to simulate knitting needles, and Viola!   Beneath the shirt, I adhered piece of white cardstock with a border as matting.  The sentiment is from SU! Congrats Stamp Set (retired).  I added 2 small hearts using the Hearts Embosslits for balance.

Thanks for stopping by,

IBSIC #23

Hello my friends,

I'm back with a project for this week's Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #23,  This week, it's all about homemade and using Sage, Pink & Cream, so I decided to make something homemade!

Antique accessories 2

My project:

I've had this baby shoe template for awhile. so I decided to make some baby girl shoes.  They are fast and easy to assemble.  I  used some pink polka-dots paper and added a pretty sage color bow.  I also added a pearl on the side of the shoe.  You can fill these up with candy, and decorate your table for a baby shower!  My daughter lent me her doll, and said that it would look nice next to the shoes!
