Happy Sunday!
I've missed a couple of my favorite card challenges the past 2 weeks, but lucky for me, I made some time this morning to create a card for this week's Dynamic Duos. We were asked to use Crumb Cake and Always Artichoke. I do not have Always Artichoke, but substituted with Memento Cottage Ivy.
My card:
For my card, I used the SU! Post Card, SU! Contempto Christmas (christmas tree), SU! Snow Swirled (sentiment) and Fiskars' Christmas (postage). The card base is Crumb Cake, then Always Artichoke card stock. I stamped the Post Card onto some Very Vanilla and stamped in Crumb Cake ink, as well as the base of the Christmas tree. The sentiment, Christmas tree and postage were all stamped in Cottage Ivy ink. A double bow using some Crumb Cake seam binding gives the card a festive look. A small rhinestone on top of the tree and on the corners finish off the details.
Thanks for stopping by,
The challenge colours this week work so well for a vintage-look card. Love your postcard updated with the more contemporary tree, bling and big bold bow. Thanks for joining us at Dynamic Duos!
ReplyDeleteOh, Martha, this is awesome! I went back and forth tonight as I was making an order on whether to get the Post Card Stamp set...you inspired and enabled me! I love the touch of bling in just the right place. The details of the 25, the bow, and the tree placement are great. Thanks for sharing at the Dynamic Duos this week;)
ReplyDeleteI love anything postal, so you have pulled at my heart strings twice now! Fantastic use of the colors!
ReplyDeleteMartha, you created a beautiful postcard! Your bow is scrumptious! Thanks for joining the Dynamic Duos!
